MTurk Worker Annotations

We now show the responses from five crowdworkers used to annotate this class-feature pair as core or spurious. Workers first denote if the focus of the image is on the main object (core), or a separate or background object (spurious). They also mark their confidence on a scale of 1 to 5, and provide written explanations for their annotation.

Background	4	There is no focus on the home theater (main object) in any of the pictures. the focus is always on the frame of a tv (not included into home theater, by the definition used on wikipedia), or the background curtains and wall. image 1 has some overlap in between the home theater and a red region, but for me the focus is clearly still on the background.
Separate Object	5	Most of the images are mainly focused on other objects like curtain.
